About our Yoga, Pilates, and Barre Studio in Kitchener

As life ebbs and flows we are here, providing a space for you to come back to yourself and to each other.

We embrace all who enter our doors with acceptance and kindness and we hope you greet yourselves on your mat the same.

Mission

Big Bliss was founded on the simple principles that everyone can benefit from yoga, therefore everyone should feel welcome and safe in a yoga studio.

Our approach is to actively engage and involve any student who comes to us to learn yoga, regardless of their physical fitness, skill level, lifestyle, or background. This means more than being friendly, this means reaching out to students, asking questions, and encouraging them to be an active participant in our community.

Vision

No person is an island, and working together informs everything we do. The Big Bliss community of students and teachers is incredibly important to who we are. We believe in helping each other, listening to each other and being a positive role model in the greater community as a whole.

That means we are allies, anti-racist, and pro-equality. The Big Bliss studio works to create a community with other small businesses and other modalities of fitness to facilitate a robust network of like-minded individuals. As teachers, we take our responsibility to our community seriously and work to represent and bolster it in our words and actions.

Values

Big Bliss Yoga teachers are science, alignment, and anatomy-focused. As teachers, we commit to keeping up to date with current exercise science and continuing our education throughout our careers.

Big Bliss yoga teachers do not use toxic or negative body imagery to sell their services to students and we never assume our client’s goals when they come into our classes. Our focus is on self-care, self-love, non-judgement, and non-competitiveness and we try to live that every day on and off our mats.

a hot yoga or barre class happening in a Kitchener yoga studio

Big Bliss is the absolute best!! I started coming here after moving to the area 3+ years ago and was hooked after my first barre class. Over the years I can say that I feel both physically and mentally stronger because of Big Bliss and have benefited tremendously from coming here. I truly feel accomplished after taking classes here! The instructors are caring, friendly, and supportive - encouraging you every step of the way. All staff are lovely to interact with and there is a true community feeling here which is evident at each and every visit. There is a wide variety of classes for everybody - from yoga to barre to pilates - and a very flexible class schedule. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this studio. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars, I would!
